  1. Looks good. Here's some other stuff we may want to consider.
*Hell, MI, could be a fun photo op if it's not too far out of our way.

*Oswald's Bear Ranch in Newberry, MI--apparently it's 10 bucks per carload. They have something like 26 bears and will take lots of pictures of your family playing with the bear cubs for $5 more. Primarily, it would be cool to play with bear cubs. This place used to have the largest black bear in the US, but he died in 2000.

*Onsted, MI--has a Mystery Hill where water runs uphill, in case someone in our party hasn't seen that. It's just off of the 12 headed from Chicago toward Detroit.

*Paradise, MI--Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. Looks neat. Has the bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald, among lots of other things. Also, another great photo op if we go to hell, so we can go to paradise as well.

Mancelona, MI--has the Good Shepherd Scenic Gardens, which is a bunch of Biblical scenes in lawn statuary, in varying degrees of disrepair.

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario--just over the Canadian border lies the World's Largest Baseball. Half of this city is listed as in Michigan. I don't have a passport and the US won't let us back in without them, but I am totally happy to be dropped off somewhere for an hour for those of you who have a passport and want to see this. It looks pretty epic.

Beaver, WI--gives us a 2-for-1 as it's Beaver, as well as a marked 45 Parallel location. For anyone geographically challenged, that means the theoretical halfway point between the north pole and the equator.

Hayward, WI--National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame--looks at least mildly interesting

    Manitowoc, Wisconsin--site of Sputnik crash

Marshfield, Wisconsin - Jurustic Park - 200+ Metal Dinosaur sculptures--some really huge ones, and one that looks like the statue of liberty

New Berlin, Wisconsin - giant Easter Island Head repro

House on the Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin is on my before-I-die list, but is kind of expensive ($15+ per person)

And last and most is Wisconsin Dells. We may be able to skip an amusement park for this place. It's tourist trap central, but it has a few gems, like the museum of historic torture devices and wizard quest. Seriously, The Dells looks like the place to go to have some good trip stories.

These are possibly the only worthy tourist traps/roadside attractions in these two states. More to follow, unless I'm wasting my time and we don't want to do tourist traps.
